Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of DeLonghi A930 Fruit and Vegetable Strainer AttachmentCustomer Review: Simple, Works, Easy Clean-up Summary: 5 Stars
I've used other motorized strainers and different styles of hand-crank models, with varying results for my main two items applesauce and tomato sauce. I've had this one for a month and have used it to make tomato sauce, apple sauce, and grape jam. Not only are the two different sized screens nice, the textured side is a nice addition to straining. Oh did I mention easy cleanup? Hand cranks and some motorized strainers had lots of parts, grooves and other odd pieces to clean properly and easily. This model is all metal (YES HOORAY!!) and what you see is what there is to clean, a screen, the holder and the paddle. Since all your straining gravity drops into the mixer bowl, there are no puddles on the counter from leaky seals or overflowing containers. Now to use this you need the Delonghi or Kenwood stand mixer, but I could go on for days about how awesome that machine is... It's my first choice if I can't use an industry sized Hobart.
