Customer Review: Works Great. Solid Construction. Easy Storage.

This is my first panini maker but so far turns out to be exactly what I had hoped for.
Pros:
1) Solid Construction
2) Nice lock for folded storage. Sits upright in our kitchen cabinet.
3) Nice grill marks (I use olive oil on the outside of the bread.)
Cons:
1) As with all these types of small appliances, if someone could invent a removable grill section, it would make it much easier to wash. As is you just have to be careful when washing so as to not flood the sensative areas.
2) I want to eat Panini's every meal.
Would give it 5 stars if it would just have removable grills to make it easier to clean.

I bought this present for my little sister after reading the reviews. I myself got the cuisinart griddle jr. I have to say this one is better than my cuisinart it has deeper grooves for a better panini. I have had this Grill for over 2 years, barely, I got it as a gift for Christmas. In fact all the siblings got one and I know they were not cheap, however they are made not to last even a few years. I have only used the thing about 15-20 times. My grill's nonstick finish PEELED after using it the other evening. I called the 800 number and of course, it was out of the measly one year warranty. Too bad. The customer service rep tried to tell me that it should still be ok to use, are you kidding me? Definitely an expensive brand and not worth it at all. And its difficult to clean, My next grill will have removable cooking surfaces for easy cleaning and most likely form Costco where the back up their products or on a credit card that offers a longer warranty. DON'T BUY THIS ONE! You can get a better price and hopefully a better non stick finish. DeLonghi CGH800-U Retro Panini Grill

we absolutely love this panini grille. we've used it at least a couple of times per week for most of the last year and it works great. only reason this wasn't rated 5 stars is that recently it seems that food is sticking more when we clean it. Otherwise, extremely satisfied.Customer Review: a gift
