Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of DeLonghi DCH1030 Ceramic Heater with Adjustable ThermostatCustomer Review: good heater Summary: 5 StarsI really like this product. It delivers extra heat for long periods of time without overheating or throwing a breaker. I read a review that said it was too noisy for them, but the one I received was not noisy at all. It ran about the same as the one I got rid of because it wouldn't deliver the heat. It works for me, just what I was looking for.
Customer Review: Nice little office heater Summary: 4 StarsMy cubicle is ridiculously cold, and I got tired of not being able to feel my toes, so I did some research and settled on this heater. (Kudos to Amazon for shipping it in one day, by the way!) I had it set on medium heat and it kept me nice and toasty all day. It's a bit loud, but not unduly so, given that it's a fan. I asked my neighbor (who sits 4 feet away) if it was too loud, and she said, "Is what too loud?" I haven't tried the thermostat, though, since I'm not trying to heat a room, only my feet!
Customer Review: Great heater Summary: 5 StarsWhen I opened the box I was surprised at how small the heater was. I didn't think it would put off much heat, but I found out after turning it on that this little heater is powerful. Great price well worth the money.
Customer Review: NOT SAFE!!! Summary: 1 StarsI was ready to give a glowing review about this heater, as it works very well, BUT when one of my cats accidentally knocked it over, it STAYED ON. It does not shut off. In any direction it continues to run if tipped over. This is very dangerous & I'm totally surprised Delonghi can manufacture a heating unit without a safety cut off feature, let alone sell it in the U.S.
Please don't buy this heater!! Wish I hadn't....
Customer Review: I can type now without my fingers getting numb from the cold Summary: 5 Starsthis heater blows half the fuses in my house but that's because the electricity that runs through my house is old. It's fine if I'm running it without a blow dryer on upstairs or the microwave. It's really not that loud. I use it in my office. I've tried sleeping with it on in my room and I can do that but I'm too scared it's going to burn my bedroom because I only have a partial wall outlet (it's actually cracked). I don't need a digital temperature display. This one doesn't need or use that feature. How it works is you turn it on full blast, heat the room up to how it feels nice, and then turn the dial down until it clicks and it will keep the room at that desired level. It actually goes on and off intermittently like regular heat. For 25 bucks this did the trick. It's small too and you can use it with a proper extension cord.
