I own the DeLonghi Coffee Urn and I absolutely love it. The freshness indicator lets me know how fresh the coffee is as time goes by during our family gatherings. This feature is now important to me next time I buy a coffee urn because it's a great idea. I have owned it for 1 1/2 years and I use it once or twice a month, no problems.

A coffee-level indicator shows how much water is in the unit--to prevent running out of coffee unexpectedly--while its unique stainless-steel basket and pump pipe provide a clean coffee taste. "On" and "ready" lights indicate when the coffee is ready to serve, and the adjustable thermostat allows for adjusting the heat between 130 to 210 degrees for the exact temperature preferred. Once the brewing is finished, the coffee urn automatically switches to the warming cycle and keeps coffee at a constant serving temperature. This "keep warm" function activates the urn's unique Freshness Indicator, which shows how long the coffee has been standing. Six freshness-indicator lights illuminate and turn off one at a time in one-hour increments, and after six hours, when all six lights have gone out, the unit will automatically shut itself off.
